Berlucchi will be participating in Festival d’Estate, the impressive summertime festival on the first three weekends of June that brings together Franciacorta wine producers.
Berlucchi, the historic winery whose birth was marked by the creation of the very first Franciacorta wine, in 1961, will welcome wine-lovers with three mouth-watering programs.
On 2 to 4 June, revelations of art deep in the cellars: our underground rooms, caves, and galleries will be a superb venue for artworks created by the talented young artists of Borgo degli Artisti di Bienno, who celebrate the naturalness of art materials, a naturalness complementing that of the Franciacortas that we will offer for tasting.
On Saturday 3, we will collaborate with the Fondazione del Teatro Grande di Brescia in offering, at 7.00pm, a true gift for our guests: a jazz session with Hot Three, featuring the trio of Sandro Gibellini and Marco Poli on the guitars and vocals by Adele Guglielmi. Their program will spotlight the great classics by Irving Berlin.
10 and 11 June will reveal the green side of Berlucchi, with a walk in the vineyards focusing on biodiversity. Our agronomist will illustrate the daily challenges of farming organically—our 85 hectares of estate vineyards have been certified organic beginning with the 2016 harvest.
On both weekends of the Festival, guided tours of our cellars will begin at 11.00am, 2.00pm (English), 3.30 and 5.00pm. Each tour will conclude with a tasting of “I Moderni” (Berlucchi ‘61 Satèn and Rosé) and of “I Preziosi” (Berlucchi ‘61 Satèn, ’61 Rosé, and ’61 Nature 2010), accompanied by a selection of cheeses and locally-produced salumi.
On Saturday 17, Berlucchi will host one of the chef members of JRE, an organization that brings together creative chefs under 40 years old. The chef will create three imaginative finger foods that will pair with Berlucchi ’61 Satèn and ’61 Nature 2010. In addition, and only on this occasion, guests will be able to taste Franciacorta Rosé Riserva 2007, which was created exclusively for the restaurants belonging to the JRE.
