A new, intriguing Franciacorta, Berlucchi 61 Nature Rosé 2011, proudly takes its place in the “BERLUCCHI ’61 “family wine library.” With its decisive, self-confident character and uncompromising presentation, it truly stands out, regally, on its own terms. This vintage-dated Millesimato was produced from 100% Pinot Noir grapes, exclusively from free-run must at a juice yield of 30 litres/100kg grapes, it was given no dosage, then matured sur lie for 60 months.
Alongside ‘61 Nature Rosé 2011, Berlucchi is introducing the latest vintage of Berlucchi ‘61 Nature 2011, a vintage-dated Franciacorta from 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir grown exclusively in estate vineyards that embodies the qualities of a sparkling wine styled to accompany all the courses of a meal. Joining these two stars is a wine considered to be the quintessence of the Franciacorta growing area, Palazzo Lana Extreme 2008, made from 100% Pinot Noir grown in two estate vineyards, the hillslope Quindicipiò and Brolo, which overlooks Palazzo Lana Berlucchi.
A portfolio of Franciacortas with such intense personalities demanded reconsideration of how to present them. The result was a re-styling of the dress of the ’61 NV line, which will be formally introduced at Vinitaly in Berlucchi’s new exposition space. It develops a stylistic language that is intriguingly futuristic, expressed through dynamic graphics and sinuous, rounded curves, with subtle hues, such as pale gold, sky blue, and powder-puff pink, offset by a spirited dance of beads of sparkling macro-bubbles that emerge as strong visual components both in the new product packaging and well as on the walls of the exposition space itself.
To fittingly greet the arrival of its latest offspring, Nature Rosé 2011, Berlucchi will gather together with friends and customers on Sunday, 15 April, at the exclusive venue of Villa Arvedi to savour and toast this milestone. A day later, on Monday, 16 April, with the goal of strengthening the already-close bonds with the most eloquent interpreters of the best of Italian cuisine, Berlucchi will welcome to its headquarters in the historic Palazzo Lana in Borgonato the most “futuristic” of multi-starred chefs, Cristina Bowerman, President of the Ambassadori del Gusto (Ambassadors of Fine Taste), who will unveil a ne plus ultra Italian-themed Gala Dinner.
