Magnums of Berlucchi Franciacorta ’61 Brut and Satén both took home Gold Medals.
In addition, Berlucchi NV Satèn ’61 was named Best in Class in the Best Franciacorta Magnum and Best Franciacorta NV Blanc de Blancs categories, in the magnum version.
Berlucchi NV Brut ’61, too, was awarded Best in Class in the Franciacorta NV Brut Blend category.
The Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships is the most authoritative international competition exclusively focusing on sparkling wines.
The evening Gala, which took place in London’s Vintners Hall on 14 September, featured the presence of renowned expert Tom Stevenson, creator of the competition, and invited guests from 29 countries were privileged to enjoy the world’s finest wines from the 2017 vintage.
